Targeting Agricultural Innovations

In collaboration with Line Gordon, and Katja Malborg (SRC), Kate Brauman and Fabrice DeClerck; Juan is exploring quantitative methods to identify where agricultural interventions such as building a dam, can have a substantial impact on improving yields and people’s well being in one of the most arid regions of the planet. Part of this work aims to identify social-ecological systems archetypes using public datasets. The CGAR-funded project Targeting Agricultural Innovations involves an international collaborations around food and water problems in the sub-Saharan Africa, particularly the Volta basin between Ghana and Burkina Faso.
