Ecosystems are showing symptoms of resilience loss

In this talk I explore where in the world are ecosystems showing symptoms of resilience loss by studying early warning signals of critical transitions on primary productivity proxies of terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Given we can produce maps of areas potentially approaching tipping points, we can also approximates which regions or economic activities could be impacted. I present some preliminary results around risk areas for fisheries decline, finding financial actors exposed to tipping point risk.
